The first budget under the new Labour Government will be read on Wednesday 30th October by Rachel Reeves, immediately following PMQ’s with Keir Starmer. It is expected to focus on ‘picking up the pieces from Tory austerity’ and have very little tax breaks for businesses.

I’ll be watching this with great interest and attending a budget breakfast meeting on the Friday morning following the reading to discuss and gain further insight. I’ll post my comments up here immediately following this.
